ACT Writing Prompts — ACT Practice 18

In today’s modern era, it is necessary that students become acquainted with more and more forms of technology. Many schools are having students enroll in technology-based courses – such as computer programming and website design – at the cost of reducing enrollment in traditional fine arts courses – like drama and choir. Many educators claim that a well-rounded student must graduate high school with at least a basic understanding of how to effectively use technology. But advocates for the fine arts argue that students learn about technology already on their own, and a truly well-rounded student is one who learns the arts as well as the sciences. In your opinion, should schools replace fine arts programs with technology classes?
